VARIANT LINEUP
RPS-R | Redundant Active
IC-based dual-signal architecture designed for systems that require redundancy, plausibility checks, or safety validation.
Key note: Requires adequate 5V sensor rail capacity when multiple units are installed.
RPS-R-120
Electrical Range: 120°
RPS-R-360
Electrical Range: 360°
RPS-P | Passive Low-Current
Analog element-based architecture with extremely low current draw. Ideal for multi-sensor rails and ECU supplies with limited current.
RPS-P-100
Electrical Range: 100°
RPS-P-345
Electrical Range: 345°
COMPARE RPS VARIANTS
| Variant | Architecture | Electrical range | Output | Supply current | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RPS-R-120 | Redundant active | 120° | Dual, inverse (CW / CCW) | ~30 mA nominal, ~50 mA inrush | Throttle position, steering angle, shift drum or selector validation, safety-critical rotational feedback |
| RPS-R-360 | Redundant active | 360° | Dual, inverse (CW / CCW) | ~30 mA nominal, ~50 mA inrush | Transmission position, gearbox rotary mechanisms, continuous rotation angle monitoring |
| RPS-P-100 | Passive low-current | 100° | Single analog | Minimal (rail-friendly) | Suspension position (multi-corner systems) |
| RPS-P-345 | Passive low-current | 345° | Single analog | Minimal | Rotary applications where redundancy is not required; cost-sensitive or rail-limited integrations |
SELECTION LOGIC
Choose RPS-R when
- Redundancy is required
- The system performs plausibility checks
- It’s a single-sensor installation
- The sensor feeds a safety-critical control input
Choose RPS-P when
- Running multiple sensors on a shared 5V rail
- ECU sensor supply current is limited
- Redundancy is handled elsewhere in the system
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Rotary mechanisms requiring sealed, reliable feedback across racing, testing, and high-vibration environments.
- Throttle position
- Steering angle
- Transmission and shift mechanisms
- Suspension position (multi-corner)
- Rotary mechanisms requiring sealed, reliable feedback
“Sealed, motorsport-grade rotary feedback built for heat, vibration, and real race integration.”
